Based in Dallas/Fort Worth, Wall Homes, Inc. partnered with ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, to honor an amazing family in Keller, TX – the Augustin family.

For the Augustin’s, their lives changed four years ago when their son was born ten weeks prematurely. The experience launched the family in a new direction – that of service dedicated to the survival of premature babies.  Amber Augustin is a professional photographer. She photographs families and their babies that are clinging to life. For many, these photos are all they have to remember their child’s all too brief time on earth.

On Father’s Day, the family’s home succumbed to flood waters making their home uninhabitable. The family was homeless. Peter Augustin is a project leader for Habitat for Humanity. The same year he lost his home, he actually won an award for his role in giving others a home. He built a home for another family while his own family was without.

Few people in our lives can amount to the level of heroism the Augustin’s are made of. They are truly an inspiration to everyone they come in contact with, changing the lives of so many for the better.
